New touch frame from Apple…
Patently Apple announced that Apple reserved rights on touch-sensitive frames. This is everything but a news: since 2006 this technology is well known but today with the launch of iPad, a new scenario can be affordable and deeply usable for this technology…

Technology’s description is quite clear: for each sensitive area, visual labels instruct user, moreover advanced sensors’ values can be used as variable for advanced interactions. So, the point is, are we going to use this technology on the next generation of iPads or will it be present on iPhone 4G too?
Regarding complexity, GIGAOM published an interesting article that I really suggest you to read. In a internet-based world, where the web is moving more towards personal rather than official, which is the infrastructure that can suit our needs? Which technology can answer to our need of “identification” without causing the collapse of the system? Read it and then let me know…
Complex technology doesn’t means only “things for geeks”, it can also be a valid solution for everyday’s troubles. As example, Siri’s iPhone Assistant, an application based on AI schemes, can help you finding anything you want in your iPhone. You simply have to “speak” and it will recognize your pattern, the meaning etc, providing you a – hopefully – good answer. Read this article for further infos…
How much technology can we manage without being its slaves? This is a good point when we talk about automotive. US Transportation boss, Ray LaHood, is starting to think that phones, dashboards and advanced entertaining systems are a big problem in a car. I really don’t know what to think about it. I’m actually working on a project that also manages automotive’s space and my team is studying all the affordable solution we can build up. However I’m starting to think that instead making a car more like a sofa, we should spend time and resources to find a real solution to time-wasting in car lines, giving a real benefit to human’s life-quality, instead of locking them more into the streets. However these are only, as usual, my 2 cents.
